Terms and conditions
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a pass or membership from Bloc11, or pay an invoice from us. The waiver and any debit order agreement you sign with us are separate documents, and they apply as well. If they conflict with this page on a point they cover, the document you signed applies.
Who we are
Gravity One Climbing and Fitness (Pty) Ltd T/A Bloc11, a South African private company, registration number K2016134821, VAT number 4800281554. Our address for notices and legal documents is Bloc11, Unit 11, 18 Auckland Street, Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, 7405. Email [email protected].
Using the gym
Climbing carries real risk of injury, even with every reasonable care taken. Every climber signs our waiver before climbing, and a parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18. You climb at your own risk, on the terms set out in that waiver.
Passes and memberships
- Day pass: valid on the day it is bought, for as long as you stay.
- Off-peak: entry before 2pm on weekdays, including public holidays that fall on a weekday, and any time at weekends.
- Month pass: runs for one calendar month from the date of payment. Year pass: runs for 12 months from the date of payment. Either can be renewed from its last day.
- Monthly membership: collected by debit order on the agreed day each month, under the mandate you sign, until the membership is cancelled.
- Concession prices apply to students, under-18s and pensioners. We may ask for proof.
Cancelling or pausing a membership
Cancelling a monthly membership takes 14 calendar days' notice, and it ends on the last day of a month: this month if at least 14 days of it remain when you tell us, otherwise next month. The membership and its debit order run until then. Pausing a membership takes 14 calendar days' notice. Tell us at the front desk or by email. Cancelling your bank's debit order mandate does not by itself cancel the membership.
Prices and payment
Prices are in South African rand and include VAT. Our main prices are on this site, and we may change them. We tell monthly members about a change before it applies, and a changed monthly amount needs a new signed mandate. See how to pay.
Invoiced groups
For schools, clubs and coaches, the organisation named on the invoice is responsible for paying it by its due date, whichever climbers it covers. The invoice sets out the memberships included and the period they cover. Each climber still signs a waiver. Access for the climbers on an invoice begins once it is paid in full, so please pay it before the period starts.
Online payments
Where an invoice includes a payment link, card payments are processed by Yoco on its secure payment page. A payment counts once Yoco reports it to us. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
Your privacy
Our privacy notice explains how we handle your personal information.
Governing law
These terms are governed by South African law. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.
